In August 2015, I was hired as the Branch Manager for American United Federal Credit Union located at 3226 South Main Street. It was shortly thereafter that I became involved with the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. I quickly began to create relationships with other chamber members, community leaders and police officers by attending, supporting and volunteering at various Chamber and South Salt Lake Police Athletic League events.
In December 2016, my role changed with the credit union and I became the Business Development Officer serving Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. I quickly learned that this new role, success was dependent on creating and gaining relationships, connections and being a connector and supporter for businesses and the community. American United also recognized the importance of creating relationships through Chamber involvement and in 2018 created a program to help other businesses with their Chamber membership fees offering to pay up to $300.00 when they open a business checking and business VISA card with the credit union.
I am currently serving as an Ambassador for the South Salt Lake, West Jordan, Sandy, Tooele (Vice Chair) and ChamberWest Chambers of Commerce. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Best Buddies, New Reflections House located in Tooele and the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce, as well as a committee member for the Granite School District Hunger Committee and Super Bowl of Caring. I received the 2018 Best of the West Award for Community Development, 2018 Board Member of the Year for the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce, 2018 Ambassador of the Year for the Sandy Chamber of Commerce and 2018 Ambassador of the Year for the South Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
