Later I served as the State FFA Vice President after graduating from Tooele High School in 1980.

I began my retail career while working during high school in 1978 for the hometown grocery store Allen’s Food Town. In 1987 I left Allen’s to join Smiths’ Food and Drug when they opened their store in Tooele. While with Smith’s I worked in several communities including Tooele, Magna, Bountiful, Sugarhouse, Glendale, and Wendover Nevada in many positions in Retail Management Operations.  I joined Walmart in 2000 to help them open their Super Center format in Utah. Carl Justesen

Hometown Tire & Auto

I have lived in Tooele for 24 years (half my life now). I moved here when I was starting my family because I have always loved Tooele while growing up, and always knew that is where I wanted to live. I grew up in Magna and spent many weekends coming around the mountain to enjoy fishing up Settlement Canyon, hiking the hills, camping and exploring. I was a member of the Tooele Gem and Mineral Club for a few years before I moved to town. That meant spending a lot of years camping at the Dow Jones building for The Gem Show and Rendezvous.  With all these great memories growing up, I was destined to live here. I married my wife Ronda here, raised my children and now grandchildren here.

Tooele has been very good to me and my family. While living here I have learned how to become a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, business owner and community volunteer. I spent many years working at Smith’s Food, Jo to Go Cafe and Deli, and US Mag before working for myself. Because of the acceptance I have received from the community was able to open C&B Auto Sales. I am now an owner/partner of Hometown Tire and Auto, where I get to live the dream with my wife and brothers. I have the honors of presently being a student at Tooele Technical College, an Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce, Secretary/Treasurer of BNI Tooele Networking Team, Social Media Chairman for the Tooele Valley Rotary Club, Secretary for Tooele Valley Museum and Historical Park Board of Advisers, and a proud member and event adviser with Modern Woodmen of America.
